Side Channel Blowers
Compact regenerative blowers for clean air and vacuum: aquaculture, packaging, lifting and more.

What they are
Compact regenerative machines: one spinning impeller, no contacting parts, very little to go wrong. Modest pressure, clean oil-free air, happy to run for years with basic care.
What we do
- Servicing, bearing changes and repairs.
- Like-for-like and improved replacements, usually from stock makes.
- Multi-blower wall and frame installations.
- Sizing advice when a duty has outgrown the machine.
Getting the choice right
Side channels live or die on the duty match. They are excellent at modest pressure and vacuum on clean air, and they fail quickly when pushed past their curve or fed dust. If the duty needs more than the catalogue offers, the answer is a different technology, not a bigger side channel.
Most common frames are made in compatible forms by several manufacturers, so a like-for-like swap is often quick. Read us the nameplate and we'll match it, or improve on it where the original was marginal.
What goes wrong
- Suddenly loud: impeller contact, usually after bearing wear let the rotor drift.
- Falling performance: a blocked filter or leaking line more often than the blower itself.
- Overheating: running dead-headed or past the curve. Fit relief and check the system.
- Bearing rumble: the one real service item these machines have. Cheap done early.
Typical duties
aquaculture aeration, vacuum lifting, packaging, pond and tank work.
