Rotary Lobe Blowers

Proven low-pressure air movers for aeration, conveying and backwash, across every major make.

What they are

The classic tri-lobe and twin-lobe families that most plants were built around. Parts are plentiful, behaviour is predictable, and a well-kept lobe machine runs for decades.

What we do

  • Routine servicing, oil and seal programmes.
  • Full overhauls with rotor and clearance work.
  • New and refurbished supply, bare shaft or packaged.
  • Fast exchange units to keep a duty covered.

Getting the choice right

Twin or tri-lobe, belt or direct drive, bare shaft or packaged: the permutations matter less than matching the machine to the system and keeping the drive simple. On a steady duty, a fixed-speed machine with the right pulley ratio is hard to beat for cost and reliability.

Weigh parts availability too. The common families can be kept running for decades; a rare import can leave you waiting on one overseas warehouse.

What goes wrong

  • Belt squeal or short belt life: alignment or tension, occasionally a tightening machine telling an early story.
  • Gradual flow loss: lobe and casing wear, measurable in a health check long before the process feels it.
  • Oil weeping at the ends: seals due, best done properly with the bearings inspected while it's open.
  • Vibration rising: check the mounts and coupling before condemning the machine.

Typical duties

aeration lanes, sludge work, conveying, general low-pressure air.
