Gauges & Instrumentation

Pressure, temperature and filter gauges that tell you the truth about your air system.

What they are

Pressure, temperature and filter-condition gauges are how a blower tells you it is struggling while the fix is still cheap.

What we do

  • Gauges and switches supplied and fitted.
  • Filter differential indicators that make service timing obvious.
  • Instrumentation checks during every service.
  • Sensor and transmitter work on packaged sets.

Getting the choice right

Instrument the questions you actually ask: what is the filter doing, what pressure is the system really at, how hot is the discharge. Three inexpensive gauges answer most of them. Beyond that, transmitters into your control system buy trends, and trends buy warning time.

Buy gauges rated for pulsating duty and mount them where someone can read them. A perfect gauge nobody sees might as well not be fitted.

What goes wrong

  • A dead or pegged needle: pulsation kills unprotected gauges. Snubbers and glycerine filling are cheap fixes.
  • A wrong reading believed: gauges drift. A five-minute check against a test gauge at service time settles it.
  • Filter indicators fitted then never looked at: make them part of somebody's round.
  • Failed sensors on packaged sets: a package that can't see itself trips on ghosts.
