Electric Motors

Drive motors sized and supplied to match your blower, from stock or on fast order.

What they are

The other half of every blower package. Efficiency class, frame size, mounting and speed all have to agree with the machine they drive.

What we do

  • Replacement motors matched to the blower and the starter.
  • Efficiency-class upgrades where the running hours justify it.
  • Fitting, alignment and test.
  • Motors supplied with new and refurbished packages.

Getting the choice right

A motor swap looks simple until frame size, foot positions, shaft diameter, speed and starting method start disagreeing. Match the motor to the blower's real absorbed power, not the old nameplate; plenty of machines carry motors a size bigger than the duty ever needed.

On long-hours duties, stepping up to IE3 or IE4 at failure time usually costs little more than like-for-like and quietly pays for itself.

What goes wrong

  • Tripping on start: the starter and cables are suspects as often as the motor.
  • Running hot: ventilation, voltage imbalance or overload. Measure before condemning.
  • Bearing noise: the standard failure. Caught early it's a bearing; left late it's a rewind.
  • Insulation failure after washdowns or storms: moisture finds tired windings.

Typical duties

replacements on failed drives, IE3/IE4 upgrades.
